En 1992, un grupo de docentes amigos inició un proyecto educativo para brindar una educación de excelencia a los estudiantes de la zona, ya que no había colegios secundarios disponibles en el área. Después de buscar diferentes opciones, se eligió un terreno de 2 hectáreas que pertenecía a la familia Bianchetti, conocida por ser fabricantes de básculas prestigiosas en el país. El proyecto recibió el apoyo de la comunidad, ya que mejoraba el aspecto de la zona.
En el mismo año, se comenzó la construcción del edificio principal, respetando la mayoría de los árboles existentes. Se llevó a cabo un acto especial para colocar la piedra fundamental, en presencia de autoridades locales y líderes comunitarios.
En marzo de 1993, el Colegio San Pablo abrió sus puertas como escuela secundaria. A lo largo de los años, se fueron incorporando secciones del nivel primario hasta que finalmente se amplió para incluir el nivel inicial.
A partir del año 2006, el colegio se convirtió en Colegio San Pablo Norte (SPN) y se implementó la doble jornada optativa bilingüe (BEP) que destaca la importancia del idioma inglés en la vida personal y profesional de los estudiantes. En la actualidad, el complejo educativo cuenta con diversas instalaciones de vanguardia, como aulas equipadas con proyectores y televisores inteligentes, sala de conferencias, laboratorio de ideas con computadoras, pizarra interactiva y un creciente equipamiento de robótica, patio cubierto con escenario y equipo de sonido, espacios verdes para recreación y descanso, un campo de deportes con canchas de fútbol, hockey y vóley, y estacionamiento para vehículos. También se ofrece un buffet con opciones de alimentación saludable.
El crecimiento del colegio ha sido posible gracias al apoyo y confianza de toda la comunidad educativa a lo largo del tiempo, quienes han respaldado y apostado por el Proyecto Educativo del colegio.
Mientras celebramos con orgullo nuestros primeros 30 años de historia, nuestra visión en SPN es abordar la enseñanza, el aprendizaje y la vida alentando a nuestros estudiantes a alcanzar su máximo potencial, tal como lo expresa nuestro lema: “Learning today for a better tomorrow”.
In 1992, a group of teacher friends started an educational project to provide excellent education to students in the area, as there were no secondary schools available. After exploring different options, a 2-hectare plot belonging to the Bianchetti family, known for being prestigious scale manufacturers in the country, was chosen. The project received community support as it improved the area’s appearance.
In the same year, the construction of the main building began, respecting most of the existing trees. A special ceremony was held to lay the foundation stone, attended by local authorities and community leaders.
In March 1993, San Pablo opened its doors as a secondary school. Over the years, sections of the primary level were incorporated until it finally expanded to include the early years.
Starting in 2006, the school became San Pablo Norte (SPN) and implemented the Bilingual English Programme (BEP), highlighting the importance of the English language in students’ personal and professional lives. Currently, the educational complex features various state-of-the-art facilities, such as classrooms equipped with projectors and smart TVs, a conference room, an idea lab with computers, an interactive whiteboard, and growing robotics equipment, a covered yard with a stage and sound system, green spaces for recreation and relaxation, a sports field with soccer, hockey, and volleyball courts, and vehicle parking. A buffet with healthy food options is also offered.
The school’s growth has been made possible thanks to the support and trust of the entire educational community over time, who have supported and invested in the school’s Educational Project. As we proudly celebrate our first 30 years of history, our vision at SPN is to approach teaching, learning, and life by encouraging our students to reach their full potential, as expressed by our motto: “Learning today for a better tomorrow”.
